10 Years of Excellence 139 Years of experience within our team
We believe that your little one’s development is influenced by the choices you make in the early years of their life. Baby and toddler swim has many benefits that will assist you in ensuring that they get off to the best start.
Developing Coordination
Introducing your child to the water early assists with their physical development. In particular it helps improve their balance, coordination and motor skills. A study by the Norwegian University of Science & Technology in 2009 found that babies who swim have better balance and can grasp objects more easily than non-swimmers.
Prevention is better than cure
Starting early allows you to eliminate fears before your child is aware of them. As a child gets older, they are more aware and develop stronger fears. It is a lot harder to introduce older children to the water for the first time. Completing the Piranha programme with give you and your child water confidence that will enhance your lifestyle, from recreation to holidays!
Water safety
Sadly drowning is the third biggest cause of accidental death in the UK for children under the age of 5. Our programme is focussed on achieving water confidence which in turn enables your child to demonstrate life- saving skills such as holding their breath, getting back to the side, climbing out, holding on or even rolling onto their back to float. We teach these vital skills from 9 weeks old so that the skills become second nature to the child
